Dr. Cormac MacDermott

Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Cormac MacDermott is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (Board Certified) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He graduated from the Columbia College of Dental Medicine and did his residency in Pediatric Dentistry at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Cormac is comfortable and confident with children of all ages, personality types and medical conditions. He has an easy-going, gentle nature and sense of humor that, combined with a high level of skill and expertise, make dental visits not only educational but also enjoyable.

He is committed to children’s health both locally and globally. For the last several years he has provided free dental care to under-privileged children and their families through “Give Kids a Smile”, and has traveled extensively as a volunteer and advocate for children’s health.

Dr. Cormac lives in Brooklyn Heights with his wife, Erin, a veterinarian, and their two children. He is a long-suffering fan of the New York Jets.

A graduate of UMDNJ Dental School and residency-trained at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Dr. Edelman combines clinical excellence with genuine warmth and understanding. As a New York City mother of two girls, she brings a parenting perspective to her care—working closely with families to build healthy habits, ease dental anxiety, and create personalized plans that set each child up for a lifetime of confident smiles.

Dr. Judy earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry. Committed to continual learning, she regularly attends advanced dental courses and workshops to expand her knowledge and refine her skills. Driven by a pursuit of excellence, Dr.Judy ensures that her patients receive the highest quality care using the latest techniques and technologies.

With a deep understanding of dental anxiety, Dr. Judy places great importance on patient comfort and communication. She takes the time to listen to patients' concerns, answer questions, and provide thorough explanations about treatment options. Dr. Judy believes in empowering patients with knowledge so that they can actively participate in their own oral health journey.

Beyond the dental office, Dr. Judy is actively involved in community outreach programs, educating individuals and families on the importance of oral health. She has participated in dental missions to Mexico and the NYC local community, providing dental care to those in need. Dr. Judy believes in giving back and is passionate about improving oral health access for all.

In her spare time, she loves spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys nature, cooking, learning about cultures and languages, and traveling.

Dr. Kateryna Huz

Orthodontist

Dr. Kateryna is a board-certified orthodontist dedicated to delivering high-quality, personalized care. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, she earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Fordham University before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from NYU College of Dentistry. She then completed her orthodontic residency at Columbia University, where she also earned a Master of Science (MS) degree. Dr. Kateryna is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Passionate about staying at the forefront of orthodontic advancements, Dr. Kat actively engages with the latest research and technologies in the field. Her patient-centered approach ensures tailored treatment plans that prioritize comfort, efficiency, and long-lasting results.

Outside the office, Dr. Kat enjoys traveling with her husband and exploring New York City's vibrant culinary scene.

Dr. Polina Ornstein

General Dentist

Dr. Polina is a general dentist providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages. She is passionate about educating patients on the importance of oral care and providing them with information that empowers them to make decisions regarding their oral health. Dr. Polina understands the anxiety that may come with going to the dentist and therefore strives to make patients comfortable by taking the time to explain treatment plans and answer any questions that may arise.

Dr. Polina is a lifelong New Yorker, having grown up in Brooklyn. After graduating from New York University College of Dentistry, she completed a general practice residency at South Brooklyn Health, where she was trained in restorative and emergency dentistry.

Dr. Polina currently lives in Cobble Hill and enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring New York City’s many museums.
