Do's and Dont's

Toothache

Clean the tooth thoroughly. If face is swollen, apply a cold compress. Take Advil or Tylenol for pain. See a dentist ASAP.

Knocked Out Permanent Tooth

Handle tooth by the Crown (top). Gently rinse the tooth. Do not Scrub. Try to reinsert it into socket and bite on clean gauze. If unable to reinsert, place tooth in milk. See Dentist IMMEDIATELY! Time is a critical factor.

Broken/Chipped Tooth

Clean tooth thoroughly. Place cold compress on face. Locate and bring broken tooth fragments to dentist ASAP It may be possible to bond. the fragment back to the tooth.

Cut Lip/Cheek/Tongue

Apply ice. If still bleeding apple firm pressure with clean gauze. If bleeding doesn’t stop after 15 minutes or cannot be controlled, go to hospital E.R.
